NEW YEARS!

2009 is only a few days away so we want to wish you all a very happy new year. We want you to celebrate with your loved ones and we'll do the same. Because of that we will be closed on New Years day. We will be open December 31st and we'll be back open for business on the second and we look forward to seeing you all again in the new year.

Good Wishes and Gratitude From Teri and Debbi:

As we enter into 2009, and WASH PERK closes in on its nine-month anniversary, we wanted to share a few thoughts with our loyal Wash Perk customers and friends. As many of you know, we didn’t plan a “coffee business,” we shared a dream of creating a livelihood in our neighborhood that felt good for the community and for us. Everything seemed to happen so clearly and naturally that seems like it was “meant to be.” We have had the support of loving friends, family, our generous landlord and lots of guidance from the great folks at Kaladi Brothers Coffee; we worked with wonderful contractors and built relationships with great local vendors. We have been amazed at the response of the neighborhood, and are so grateful for your support. These early months haven’t been without challenges, and we appreciate your patience as we strive every day to be our best. We have enjoyed a kind, competent and dedicated staff who have made all of this possible. We are excited to be approaching Wash Perk’s one-year anniversary, April 1, 2009, and look forward to continuing to make this a great neighborhood coffee shop. Thank you for your input and suggestions, and we welcome them always. Thank you for showing up with your smiles, your children, your fur babies, your friends and an intention to support our local business. Thank you for buying gift cards and referring friends to us. Thank you for all the kind words of encouragement on the days we’ve been tired. Thank you for sharing furniture and dishes and travel mugs. Thank you for fixing our door handle, for bringing us cookies, for bringing us stray dogs, for adding to our community board. Thank you for being such good neighbors. We promise to do the same.

Christmas is coming up fast and we just wanted you to know that we WILL be open. Christmas day, and the day after, (the 25th and 26th) our hours will be 7:30am – 12:00pm, yes we will close at noon. Stop by and get some hot drinks for the family on Christmas and then stop by on the 26th to tell us about how much fun you had.

WINTER ANNOUNCEMENTS!

Now that it is getting colder we've added a few things around the shop to make life easier and warmer.

• Don't you hate having to wait in line in the morning when all you want is a simple cup of coffee? Well, wait no longer. We now have self-serve coffee. All you do is walk in, fill your cup, and drop your money in the box we have set up on the side. Quick, easy, and best of all, no waiting! We hope you'll take advantage of this new service. And please, give us your feedback on how you feel it works.
  
  
• When it is cold outside what is better than a bowl of soup? Not much. Starting December 1st we have soup! Drop by to see what flavors we have to offer.
  
  
• HAPPY HOUR! No alcohol, but we do have $2 Lattes. Come in Monday through Thursday from 2-4pm and join us for happy hour.

We recently decorated for our first Christmas. Thank you to everyone that helped us decorate! We are now looking fun and festive and we're ready for Santa to come. Join us on December 13th for Santa's visit. He'll be taking pictures with all the kids (and maybe kids at heart). We hope to see you there!
